    NIC ASIA Bank Joins the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials

    Kathmandu / NIC ASIA Bank takes pride in becoming a member of the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), a global initiative brought in collaboration of financial institutions worldwide to ensure harmonized assessments and disclosures of greenhouse gas emissions linked to their loans and investments.

    With more than 480 financial institutions from six continents, PCAF is rapidly expanding in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific regions. By aligning with PCAF, NIC ASIA Bank underscores its commitment to environmental sustainability through transparent evaluation of its carbon footprints.

    “As the world is fundamentally shifting towards environment friendly practice, NIC ASIA Bank too is committed towards measuring and reporting its carbon footprint and crafting climate-friendly strategies inclined with the global shift towards sustainable economy.” Said Mr. Roshan Kumar Neupane, CEO of NIC ASIA Bank.

    NIC ASIA Bank stands as one of the largest banking institutions of Nepal with an extensive network covering all major financial centers of the country. Currently, the Bank operates through 360 branch offices, 671 ATMs, 118 extension counters, and 51 branchless banking units. 

    NIC ASIA Bank has extended its services to the underserved rural districts of Nepal such as Mugu, Kalikot, Bajhang, Rukum, Jumla, and Salyan, where the banking operations are limited. Remarkably, the Bank operates its 72% branches in rural and semi-urban areas, where more than 80% of the country's population are residing.
