Kathmandu / FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal urged the government to form a high-level commission to immediately address the dispute surrounding dedicated power feeders and trunk lines provided to the industries.
It may be noted that the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) had recently disconnected dedicated electricity lines (named dedicated feed and trunk lines) of some industries citing unpaid dues.
In the Dolakha Festival's inaugural in Charikot, Dolakha today, President Dhakal said that this dispute would further diminish the morale of the entrepreneurs and would further deteriorate the investment climate in the country.
FNCCI, issuing a press statement here today, Dhakal viewed that formation of a high-level commission would address the current issue once for and all.
He also warned the dispute between the Nepal Electricity Authority and entrepreneurs regarding this would create more problems to the country's economy.
Stating that signs of reforms were seen in the national economy, he urged the government to bring forth programmes that would boost everyone's confidence, the statement said.
He also extended gratitude towards the government for holding all-parties and all-side discussions to address the private sectors' concerns and issues.
